BJP welcomes Ramdev’s decision to break fast

By punemsexesena :Welcoming yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s decision to break his nine-day-long fast, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Sunday. Rudy blamed the Congress for aggravating the situation in the country. "The Congress is trying to portray those who are fighting against corruption as en

emies of the nation," Rudy said.
Ramdev ended his nine-day-long fast after being persuaded to do so by a host of spiritual leaders, including Art of Living Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Morari Bapu.

However, the Baba and the spiritual leaders said that their campaign against corruption and return of black money from abroad would continue.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said that Baba Ramdev had broken his fast after drinking some juice.

Janata Party president Subramanium Swamy said that the breaking of the fast by Baba Ramdev did not mean that the campaign against corruption would be slowed down. He said that the overall objective was to remove the government that was absolutely corrupt.

Former Haryana Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal also paid him a visit in the hospital today.

Badal extended his support to Ramdev and said he is with the yoga guru in his fight.

Baba Ramdev, who is being treated by doctors at the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Jolly Grant, is likely to be shifted out of the special ICU to a private ward later in the day.

Doctors have said that he shall remain in hospital for some more days till his health stabilizes further. At the time of the filing of this report, his blood pressure was said to be close to normal.

The yoga guru had been on a hunger strike against corruption along with 65,000 followers when the Delhi Police on the Central government''s orders cracked down on their camp late on the night of June 4 in New Delhi''s Ramlila Maidan.
